Last weekend the Quad (me and 3 other friends) went out to Bar Volo’s Le Trou du Diable event. I didn’t know anything about this brewery from Shawinigan, Quebec and I was pleasantly surprised. We tasted all 9 offerings:

La Buteuse Brassin Special (Oak Aged Belgian Triple)
Buteus (Belgian Triple)
La Morsure (American IPA)
La Grivoise de Noel (Christmas beer)
Rubis Red (Cask)
Dulcis Succubus (Wild Saison)
Le Porteur (Porter) Canada
Dubai Pillee (Double IPA)
V 5th Anniversary (Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale)

We ended up on the patio again (like we did for the Hopfenstark event) however this was much colder. My top 3 beers were the Double IPA, V and the Wild Saison. Due to the cold weather it was making my beers cold which wasn’t the ideal tasting temperature. I hope to see these guys again in the near future (hopefully at the LCBO).
