Breweries During Prohibition

I received my All About Beer Magazine this week and they had an article about Heritage Breweries. In the article they had a bit about what some of the old American breweries made/sold to survive the prohibition years.

Here’s a what the breweries made:

  • Minhas – Ice cream, near beer, farm equipment
  • August Schell – Near beer, soda, candy
  • Spoetzl – Near beer and they claim to have never stopped brewing beer
  • Stevens Point – Near beer, orange crush
  • Yuengling – Near beer and ice cream
